FILM DESCRIPTION

"REHA" – A Dark Comedy of Cancer, Chaos, and Culture-Clash

After 30 years of bitter separation, bourgeois opera diva Ayşe, and her anarchist ex-husband Hasan crash into each other in a Bavarian eco-wellness clinic. She sees an all-inclusive spa paradise, he sees Guantanamo with gluten-free pretzels. Diagnosed with dueling cancers (hers: breast, his: prostate), they’re condemned to three weeks of absurd cohabitation – battling clinic dogma, each other and the daily question of who gets the last word.

Toni Erdmann’s cringe-comedy collides with Fargo’s snowbound chaos in Kaurismäki’s deadpan universe.
